Come, my love
show me that smile
that I have not seen in so many days.
Let us walk around the park,
and watch the Ducks and the Dogs bark,
and laugh at their funny little ways.
Come share a Croissant with me,
at the local eatery,
best get there early,
it's drawing quite a crowd.
The little street is bustling,
people rushing to get in,
but I can still hear your heartbeat
thumping fast above the din.
I think you've missed me,
Love, we must make more time.
I like to stroke your face,
and study every line.
Fate has had a hand in this,
yes, it was meant to be.
And like a Soldier,
you stand there guarding me.
